Day and Night – Dreaming Big with Lula Bell

Lula Bell is back with new and different stories galore and more!!!!! She is delightfully scatterbrained as always and ready for fun this summer. If you’ve met Lula Bell, you know she does everything big; from her piled high white wig to her sparkly, pink, humongous hoop skirt!

Lula Bell’s woolgathering and stargazing result in amazing and fanciful stories. Sparked with humor, songs, and audience participation, Lula Bell’s presentations keep children engaged and watchful for Lula Bell’s next zany antic. Some of her stories are based on books and others are purely from her imagination. 

DAY AND NIGHT – DREAMIN’ BIG WITH APPALACHIAN ANNIE

The fun continues with Appalachian Annie. Being the “onliest soul still a’livin’ on Big Frog Mountain” in the Cohutta Wilderness, Annie has time to “daydream a’plenty”. She tells remarkable and humorous stories from her childhood in the oral style of Appalachia. She includes traditional mountain songs, instruments, and dance steps in her presentations, always pulling the audience in to participate.

Annie can also share Cherokee tales passed down to her. When Annie’s great-great grandparents settled on Big Frog, the only people living there were Cherokee Indians; and dreams played a big role in the Cherokee culture.
